Coaching Requirements

Board Certified -- All coaches must be approved by the VFA board before they are allowed to coach.

Criminal Background Check -- In cooperation with the Vincennes City Police and the Vincennes Community School Corporation, all coaches must complete a background check.  The requirements are consistent with being hired with the school system.

Heads Up Football Certification -- All coaches must complete 90 minute certification program with USA Football.

To complete this certification, go to www.usafootball.com/headsup and click login up in the right hand corner.  Choose to become a member.  Fill out information and at the bottom of the form where it asks to connect with an organization, choose Vincennes Football Association.  Once you have registered, log back into the system and choose to complete the Level 1 Tackle certification.  this program will take at a minimum of 90 minutes to complete.

Once all these requirements are completed, you will be a certified coach for the VFA.
